Funding/Grant Applications and Administration
Many of MESCO’s clients desire some type of Financial Assistance with their projects, and some of the projects cannot proceed without it. The amount of grant dollars available for local governments has diminished over time, but there are still programs that offer grants to those who qualify. Almost all local governments will qualify through various agencies for Loan funds, at less than market rates, for water and wastewater related projects.
Municipal Engineering’s Funding Team includes folks with many years of experience working with the various State and Federal funding agencies to identify and secure funding commitments for our client’s projects. Our Funding Team members also include folks that were previously employed by, and / or administered, funding programs for various state and federal agencies.
“…We have been working with Municipal Engineering for about 5 years and have around 6 projects going at the same time – all with funding… with a lot of grant money… The best thing about them is that they will chase down the money for you… That is very important for a small town…Gary Flowers positions us to score well on the applications… Municipal crosses every ‘T’ and dots every ‘I’… They go way beyond the call of duty… they get it done…”
“…About 4 years ago, I reconnected with Bobby Blowe. I knew him when he worked in state government…It all started with being able to do a PER; and here is where it gets good, they were able to get us an $800,000 grant with $1.2 Million remainder in loan…They know how to make those applications and get funding…It has been just wonderful…”
Securing an offer of funding for a project is only the first step. Each funding agency has its own set of requirements and milestones which must be addressed in order to actually access the funds. Municipal Engineering not only offers assistance in obtaining a funding commitment, but will provide grant / loan administration support to our clients for the life of the project. As our founder, Jimmy Woodie, P.E., P.L.S. always says…”There are many engineers who can design a project for you, but few that will provide the level of personal service offered by Municipal Engineering”.

Expert Solutions
“We discovered that Municipal Engineering is expert in this kind of work and has lots of experience with lots of other towns and counties in North Carolina. They were remarkably helpful. Through their efforts, we received over $2,000,000 grant and loan from the Federal Government to do the water sewer system expansion. They’re now in the midst of designing it for us. It’s an exciting project!”
